Operation Backpack 2010

Thank you corporate sponsors!  Operation Backpack 2010 was a huge success!  Because of your generous support, we were able to distribute 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to families in need.   

Operation Backpack is an annual event hosted by East Coast Believers Church and other local partners in  Central Florida.  Over the last 4 years, Operation Backpack has provided more than 4,000  free backpacks filled with school supplies to children in the Orlando area. This year, East Coast Believers Church purchased  supply-filled backpacks for approximately $15.00 each (suggested retail value – just under $80.00).

On August 14, 2010, Operation Backpack participants not only received a free backpack filled with school supplies, but also enjoyed a free comedy show and  an opportunity to win some great prizes.  This year six children received brand new bikes, one family won a brand new Wii and many of our guests won gift certificates to local vendors and retailers.

We want to say a special thank you to the members of East Coast Believers Church and the corporate sponsors for all their support.  Thank you for making Operation Backpack 2010 a huge success!  We look forward to working with you in the future!
